Childcare Expo Midlands 2017 will soon be upon us and if you haven't been to one before, you don't know what you are missing! There are three every year - soon to be four as Childcare Expo will branch out to Glasgow - OK, I made that last bit up as a piece of wishful thinking but since my current read is all about manifesting what you want, why not manifest a Scottish Childcare Expo??!!

So, in the theme of a nursery narrative pack we'll cover the 4 W's:

What? The event invites everyone from childminders to pre-school and nursery owners to aid their personal development with leading associations on hand to share their insight to support and advance your practice.

Who? All early years practitioners

Where? Ricoh Arena in Coventry

When? 29th – 30th September 2017

So what are the five good reasons, I hear you ask?!

1) It's completely free to attend. Register for your free place here

2) There are 15 seminars and workshops that you can sign up for. Yes there is a small charge for the seminars (£15) , but you can get 20% off by using this link and then using the code: CCM2017 at the checkout. Fantastic for CPD!! I've just read that Alistair Bryce-Clegg, owner of ABC Does and leading early years legend, will also be making a special guest appearance as he opens the event on Friday 29th followed by his anticipated seminar ‘Thrill, Will Skill – Let the children lead the learning.’ And there I was thinking he was just my warm-up act!

3) You'll receive fantastic on-site offers and discounts (see p11 of this show preview) and you get to try before you buy from all these amazing exhibitors! Also, most stalls have sweets. Just saying.

4) You can bring your kids along (as long as you don't leave them in the learning zone whilst you attend a seminar!) There's nothing better than getting potential purchases tested by a miniature mayhem maker.

5) You get to network with like-minded professionals and you get to spend a day without having to wipe any bums (unless you make the most of reason 4 - see above)

In all seriousness,  I went to Childcare Expo in London earlier this year and was amazed at how enthusiastic and helpful everyone was - whether you are looking for new play equipment, the perfect resource or want to find out more about the latest in early years technology, Childcare Expo Midlands is the place to be this Autumn.

And did I say, I'll see you there...
